Guardian Plumbing & Heating, Inc. was established in 1968
as a service company by Andy D’Ascenzo. His idea was to deliver
a quality product with good service at a fair price.
Our first customer was the Metropolitan Hospitals which were
later purchased by Henry Ford Health System. Henry Ford Health
System remains a customer to this day.
As we grew, health care and high rise buildings became our
primary customers. This is a market where quality and good
service are expected and we rose to the occasion, growing our
business every year.
Andy had three sons who joined him, becoming master
plumbers and helping to take the company into the future.
With the loss of its founder in 1984, the reins of the company
were passed to Anthony D’Ascenzo. Through his leadership the
company opened a construction division which has worked in
every major hospital system in Southeastern Michigan. In 1990
Andy’s fourth son, Larry D’Ascenzo, joined the company as a
Marketing Manager for the service division. Since then
Guardian’s client base consists of management companies as
big as General Motors to single building owners.
